The Tanner Conference and Halloween

Hello hello!

Hope everyone is having a great week. And, Happy Halloween!

Yesterday was one of my favorite days of fall semester – the Tanner Conference! For those who don’t know what the Tanner is, keep reading!

The Tanner Conference is one of many events that truly make Wellesley a special place. The Tanner is all about experiential learning, done outside the classroom and sharing it with the entire Wellesley Community. Usually held in late October, classes are canceled for the day in order to attend student panels and presentations. Students present about their experiences outside the Wellesley classroom: internships, civic engagement, study abroad, and other opportunities. It’s a wonderful time for presenters to reflect on their experiences, and share their growth with their peers.

Last Tanner, I went to as many panels as I could. This year was no different, except for the fact that I was on a panel and presented about my summer internship at Girl Scouts San Diego! It was such an incredible experience, and I felt so blessed and supported, seeing all my friends, roommates, professors, and advisors in the audience. I also had a great time sharing my experiences and growth from my internship!

If you want to know more about the Tanner, feel free to browse the website: https://www.wellesley.edu/tanner.

In case you were wondering, tonight, for our Halloween plans, my roommates and I are going trick or treating at President Johnson’s house! If there’s one thing you need to know about Wellesley, it’s that we love our president, PJ.

I’ll let you know how it goes,

Shreya
