I made it to Geneva for my second-semester abroad! My semester starts next week so in the next post I will let you in on some of the classes I am taking. I am writing this on my laptop while facing an amazing view of the Swiss Alps from my room. Needless to say, I am excited about this semester.
I am ready for the experience of living and learning in a place like Geneva and for opportunities to travel around Europe. I’ve already made plans to visit other friends who are studying in Europe as well. Living in Dakar has deeply impacted me and I am ready to see how living in Geneva will too. I am very independent and a little overwhelmed by this independence, but I know that as the semester goes on, I will come to enjoy it.
I have only been here for two days but I am doing pretty well. I have learned the public transportation system, gone grocery shopping and purchased a monthly pass for the transit system. Geneva is known for being quite pricey so I am hoping that cooking my own meals and taking public transport will cut down on costs.
That’s all for now, and look out for future posts!
