Hi! I’m back! As I write this, we are wrapping up a much needed and well deserved Fall Break! I spent this break going back home to NYC to catch up with family and friends and just rejuvenate after stressful midterms. NYC is not too far away from Boston so I’m actually able to go back home relatively often, and this was my second time going home since starting at Wellesley. However, what made this trip extra special was the company of fellow Wellesley students along the way. Coincidentally, many Wellesley students had also booked the 6:00 p.m. bus out of Boston to NYC, and it was quite comforting to see a bus filled more than halfway with Wellesley students as we began a 4.5 hour journey to NYC. During the rather quite bus ride, we would hear a buzz of conversation spurring between random Wellesley students every few minutes. By the end of the bus ride we had even developed some new friendships!

What made this break extra special was that I invited my roommate to stay with me in NYC! It was really great to have her meet my family and show her some of my favorite parts of NYC. She’s even planning to come back to stay with us over Thanksgiving Break!
Overall Fall Break was truly amazing, and looking back I realize how quickly I have developed a community here at Wellesley and how easy it is to build relationships and connections with my classmates, and it is that beautiful energy that I am so grateful for.
Signing Off,
Ilma
