Hi! Our one week break flew by so quickly, but it was such a nice time to relax and chill out.In a typical semester, we have a similar break called fall break, so that’s what I am gonna call this break.
I went to New Hampshire for the break to visit and stay with my close friend. While I was in New Hampshire, my friend and I went hiking, watched movies, and caught up on sleep. We went hiking near a ski slope in NH that was part of the Appalachian trail. The hike was pretty steep but short and we had to stop a bit earlier than we wanted to just because the sun was going down. A few weeks ago I started a show called 24, it’s a pretty old show but it’s amazing. I love the suspense and thrills in the show. My friend and I were able to get through a whole season this week. (if you haven’t seen 24 I highly recommend it—it’s on hulu)
If you know me you know, I am not the type of person to ever take a nap. Even if I only slept 5 hours at night, I just can’t take a nap during the day. However, during the week off I was taking a nap almost every day, and these naps were like 3-4 hours. I started getting scared I was sick or something based on how much I was sleeping but I felt fine. I also just figured I had been a bit sleep deprived that my body probably enjoyed not having to set an alarm or go to bed early either.
I arrived back to the city this morning and immediately after getting off the bus, I walked to CityMD and got a rapid covid test. I received the results back in like 15 minutes and tested negative!
Term 2 starts tomorrow and I am a bit nervous to get back in the school work grind, but I really enjoyed fall break!
Best,
Lynsey
