Hello!! Yesterday was a great day! I woke up to my sister telling me the news that Biden was elected as president. As soon as she woke me up to this news, we opened the window and heard people cheering and honking in the street celebrating the news. We got so excited about the news and got dressed and went out to celebrate with others and grab brunch.
We walked down the streets of Brooklyn to people parading and cheering, and we grabbed brunch at a Mexican restaurant where we got tacos and drinks. It was one of the best sights to see everyone beaming with excitement and relief. We celebrated the rest of the day with oysters, mochi ice cream, and more drinks!
I’ve been so anxious about the election this whole week for several reasons. But on top of everything, this was the first election I was able to vote in, and being in NYC, I wanted to make sure my absentee ballot was received in time. (it was so that helped relieve a bunch of anxiety!)
On Friday night, my sister, her boyfriend, and I went to an Italian restaurant in the city called La Pecora Bianca, and we ate amazing homemade pasta and burrata. For dessert, we got their homemade tiramisu that came with a design of a white sheep on it. (I love tiramisu!!)
