My Summer in a Glance

Hi blog! Hope you all had a fabulous summer.

I had the most amazing summer experience. To fast-track where I left off, I spent this summer in NYC for my finance internship—and while growing my knowledge in finance, I met some of the most amazing people in the world and made memories that’ll last me a lifetime. After a year of social distancing and quarantine, it was great to finally be able to interact with people on a more normal-feeling level and explore the city further. The program was 10 weeks but it completely flew by. A week after finishing my internship I received a full-time offer to return to the bank which is I was more than ecstatic to receive and accept. I am so looking forward to returning next year once I graduate. Once the internship ended, I went to Vegas for the first time to celebrate my 21st birthday. Since coming back from Vegas, I’ve been spending the rest of my summer in NYC–it’s been so nice to be able to decompress from a fast-paced internship and take a second to breathe before hitting the books again.

As the summer wraps up, I look forward to heading back to campus in the next few days. Admittedly, it does feel slightly strange after not being on campus for nearly 1.5 years. But, as a senior, there comes this immense amount of excitement and feeling of accomplishment as I take on my last year. I am so excited to see all my friends and take classes in person again. While this year will be a bit stressful because of some of the classes I am taking, I know I’ll be able to balance that workload and still have a very enjoyable senior year.

For now, I am soaking in the last few days of summer and beginning to pack up. But, I’ll be back next week with updates directly from campus. Till then—lots of love!

Best,

Lynsey
