A brief synopsis of my Friday through Sunday:
Wellesley–> Boston –> Cambridge –> Natick –>Wellesley
First off, backtracking—I’ve finally arrived at my first break of the spring semester—President’s Day Weekend! I’ve decided to stay in Boston this weekend to catch up on…everything!
This whole week has been so incredibly busy! It’s almost just been a blur of psets, Chinese characters, and chocolates. I can’t believe that it’s already the end of week four. I don’t think I mentioned to you guys yet, but I was accepted to study abroad at Cambridge University in England next spring. I’m SO excited for the opportunity to live in another country and study another environment. I’m also a bit nervous for what that’s going to bring. I’m also curious about what that means for my Wellesley experience. I love the school so much—I’m not sure what it’s going to be like to be away for that long. Nonetheless, I’m so excited!
On to the activities for the week! So on Friday, Justin and I stayed in and cooked dinner again. We cooked a second batch of Korean BBQ, this time–Bulgogi. I think next week or maybe the week after that, I’ll try cooking for him! Maybe some Chinese food, perhaps? Will keep you updated on that.
The next day we grabbed lunch before I headed over to Harvard to visit my brother. We also went to a panel at HBS that was on different business sectors and industries. It was really interesting and gave me a better insight on what I might want to do in the future.
Adventures ensued when I met up with Cassie and Daniella afterward. We went to eat at Tory Row in Harvard Square. We tried an assortment of appetizers including mussels, a Spanish cheese plate with manchego cheese, Serrano ham, figs, and almonds, and a really interesting curry apricot cheese spread with baguettes. I’d only been to Tory Row for lunch, but I’m so glad I went back for dinner. It was great!
We stopped by the Kong for some more food before complete exhaustion hit me. I decided to call it a night and crash at my brothers instead of going with Daniella and Cassie to Sigma Chi or the Fly.
On Sunday, I returned back to Wellesley and went shopping with Mary-Grace at Natick, which was so much fun! We’ve been trying to arrange a shopping date all semester, and now we finally had the chance! We also ran into Katie, Camylle, Isa, Anneliese, and Patrice, while we were there. We went on a quick McDonalds run before returning back to campus for dinner with some ZA girls, yum!
I spent the rest of Sunday working on my CS pset, which I just finished. Success!
Tomorrow I’m supposed to (hopefully) go ice-skating with Justin if weather permits and then grab dinner with ZA girls at a place called… “ZA.” Haha then we have a game night with some ZA alums living in Boston. I’m so excited!
Other than that, this weekend has definitely been a good one. I had a lot of fun and can’t wait for the adventures that await me this week!
Sidenote–here’s a picture of the beautiful flowers my brother sent me!
