Hello everybody!
Okay, so I know that it is Thanksgiving and Christmas shouldn’t be on my mind yet. But I’m not American, so I don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving, and I really love Christmas. So, I will start writing about it right now!
Yesterday, I spent the whole day in Boston with some friends. We went to the Boston Public Library, which sounds geeky, but I promise you that it wasn’t. We spent 3 super relaxing hours there. I love the feeling of being surrounded by books, so I was really happy there. We all found our corner of the library, sat down with a book, and enjoyed the peace.
Afterward, we hopped on the T (the Boston subway) and went into Downtown Boston. I know that I have been living near Boston for several months now, but that was the first time I have been to that part of the city. We walked around, eat some delicious Greek food (not necessarily authentic, but close enough), and took a lot of pictures. I don’t know about you, but I am always impressed by those enormous glass buildings in the big cities.
We then went to the Christmas market at Snowport. It wasn’t as big as I expected, but it was still really cool. I loved all the Christmas decorations there and the million lights around the place. Everything was rather expensive, but even looking through the hundreds of little ornaments was worth it. I only bought one thing, a small giraffe made out of crystals and metal for my cousin back home, who is obsessed with giraffes.
Going back to Wellesley, my roommate and I realized that we had missed dinner, so we ordered some Chinese food and sat together in the Common Room. Most people left for the break, so Stone-Davis felt really empty. We sat there for several hours, watching Christmas movies (we watched 12 Christmas Dates), eating delicious food, and doing a puzzle. The whole day was just really relaxing – exactly what we needed after the past few busy weeks.
That’s all from me for now. Stay safe!
