LDOC

Hello everybody!

The end of the semester is finally here! I am so excited to go home soon. Even the upcoming finals can’t kill my mood. Of course, it is sad that today is the LDOC (last day of classes, I promise you that this is a part of the Wellesley vocabulary) because I will really miss some of my classes, but I really miss my family.

You know how everyone advertises New England with the snow? Well, we hadn’t had real snow until this week. Some of my friends that hadn’t really seen snow before were so excited that it made me excited. And I live in the mountains where I see a lot more snow than this. But their energy was just infectious, so I was also walking around smiling.

Because it is the end of the semester, there are a lot of activities happening. I had a lot of work this past week, but I did go to some of them. I went to the Widows concert with the special appearance of Aiko (Widows is one of our acapella groups, and Aiko is Wellesley College’s one and only Japanese taiko group). The concert was really cool (and I am not biased just because some of my friends were performing).

….a short break in the story because one of my friends got locked out of the building, and I went outside to help her…

Yesterday I was also at a Polaroid party, where I got some really cool photos with my friends. The food at the party was also really cool, which, if you come to Wellesley, you will come to appreciate too, especially towards the end of the semester. Also, last night I was at my dorm’s House Council, where we were making gingerbread houses, had hot chocolate, and ate some delicious cake brought to us as a gesture of love by one of the other dorms, Munger.

Otherwise, my week was really boring and full of hours spent in the library of the Science Center, studying. Next week will be the reading and exams periods, so I doubt that I will have any interesting updates. But who knows! Maybe I will figure out something creative!

Until next week! Stay healthy!
