Hello dear readers!
Yes, it’s that time of the year. The semester is (almost) officially over, and everyone is leaving campus. I personally will be leaving tomorrow: I will be flying back home to Bulgaria through Germany. My Big (assigned older student that acts as your sibling on campus) from Slater and I will actually be traveling together as she is going back home in Germany.
The past few days (today included) have been exam days. I did my Math exam on Monday, my Physics exam on Tuesday, and I will do my History exam later today (exciting, I know). Here, because we have the Honor Code and we take it very seriously, we have the option to have self-scheduled exams. This practically means that we can choose the order of our exams (unless the professor has made it into a fixed exam) and the time to take them. This is great because people are traveling from and to all around the world, and this arrangement allows all of us to have some flexibility in our plans. All you need to do to take a self-scheduled exam is to show up at the Science Center, go up to the staff that has all the exams, swipe your card, and find a room in the Science Center to take it.
I have been running around Wellesley these past few days, looking for gifts and buying snacks for my family to try back home. Here is a picture of my big suitcase from yesterday when I started packing:
I know, it is a lot. But most of my friends and family said that that is what they wanted for Christmas, so I made sure to buy things for them to try. A fun fact: I actually haven’t tried all of these things, my friends recommended them to me based on how popular they are in the US.
That’s it from me for now. I can’t wait to go back home, but I will miss Wellesley a lot. These days there were many goodbyes, and I miss my friends. I will see you again in January! Stay safe!
