My favorite study spots

Hello everyone!

How are you doing? Here, on campus, the semester has really taken off, and, honestly, I have been really busy this past week. And so, I haven’t really done a ton of interesting things (unless, of course, you count going to classes, studying, working, and then more studying as ‘interesting’ or ‘fun’).

Since all I have been doing lately has been studying, I decided to tell you more about my favorite study spots on campus.

1. The 4th floor of the library

I am not sure that this is an official rule, but on campus, it is commonly accepted that the higher floor of the library you choose to go to, the quieter it will be. The 4th floor is the last floor of the library, so it is the quietest one. I really love one specific spot that’s a bit isolated and overviews the other floors. Just the knowledge that that’s a place where you need to be quiet and study usually gets me in the ‘zone’ rather quickly.

2. Stone-Davis 1st floor common room

Of course, sometimes I have to stay up late to study or I’m just too lazy to go outside, so a lot of times I end up doing homework in the common room of my residential hall, Stone-Davis. There are usually some people in there, but usually not enough to make it feel overcrowded. I really love the chairs/couches around the tables – they really do make a difference!

3. The ground floor of the Science Center

The open space on the Ground floor of the Science Center is where I usually do work when I have some time in between classes, and I want to squeeze in some work in that shorter period of time (like right now!). It’s usually full of people, but there are a lot of tables, and there’s usually space for everyone. It’s definitely not a quiet space though – a lot of people pass through here, so both the people around me and I see our friends and chat with them out loud. This place is also a popular space to go to if you want to do some group work as the tables are big and, as I mentioned, you never know who you might meet here!

I guess that’s it from me for now. Stay safe!
