The daffodils

Hello everybody!

I am posting this blog post later than usual this week, but that’s because just sat down and looked at my to-do list since I spent the whole day outside – it was so sunny and warm out! I was so excited after I got out of my Chemistry exam and saw how pretty everything was. I grabbed lunch with a friend and was then supposed to go to the library to sit down and study for a while. However, once I went to my dorm, I met a friend and we decided to go outside for a walk around the lake. That’s one of my favorite things to do on the Wellesley campus, so, naturally, I couldn’t say no.

I am not sure how that happened, but somehow in the afternoon all of my friends and I ended up being in the same place, and we decided to have a picnic for dinner. We chose to do that outside of my dorm. Why, you might ask? The daffodils! The back of Stone-Davis is full of those yellow flowers, and it’s just so pretty. My room overlooks the lake and the flowers, so every morning, when I struggle to wake up for my 8:30 classes, I look at them and they make me excited for the day. I really love my dorm, even though it might not be the most popular one on campus. But, honestly, the daffodils make my day so much better every time I see them that it almost makes up for the small room my roommate and I were assigned to. Here are some pictures from today (don’t ask about the duck, it’s a Wellesley thing):

This week is also the last full week of classes, since next Monday is the Boston Marathon (it goes through Wellesley, and it’s a really big event for everyone on campus), and the week after that there’s a big campus-wide conference.

That’s it from me for the week. I hope that you are all enjoying the good weather (if the weather is good wherever you might be right now), and you are spending time outside. Stay safe!
