Exploring Museums: 2024 Recap

Hey goslings!!!!! I hope you had an amazing weekend.

This is your long awaited blog post!!!!! Today I would like to talk about my experience visiting museums in the Boston area for the past 2023-2024 year. As a visual arts enthusiast, I was so excited to see what Boston has to offer with museums!!

Over the past year, I only visited two art museums in Boston. I know it’s a shame I didn’t get to see more, but in my defense, I was busy!

My first visit to the MFA was with my friend Kunsal. I had to go for my first-year writing class, and that day, I had so much to juggle. I needed to schedule an individual meeting, and I wanted to get to the org fair on time. We couldn’t make it, and Kunsal missed it too, for which I still feel a little guilty.

However, we had so much fun at the museum! This was a major bonding experience with Kunsal, and we ended up becoming really good friends afterward. I have very warm memories of this trip.

My second favorite museum trip is definitely to the Isabella Gardner Museum. This was during my winter break in Boston. I remember thinking, “God, I’m so tired of this cold and gloomy weather. I should do something; I can’t just rot in my bed.” That’s how I ended up at the Isabella Gardner. While I was definitely overwhelmed with the rooms and interior design, I had so much to explore.
