Hi Bloggies. I hope you are all doing splendidly. This is my second to last blog as an Admissions Summer Intern. š But, hereās my song of the week. I donāt listen to the main artist but anyone who has known me for more than 2 seconds knows Iāve had an Ava Max music obsession since grade 9. So this song has been on repeat for the last 6 days.
Alright, letās get into it.
Thursday. Lauren Reilly took Lara and I out for dinner at The Cheesecake factory after work! LR works at the front desk of the admissions office, and she is a treasure to this world. I love her so much. She actually gifted me the shirt Iām wearing in the picture below. I am manifesting only good things for her. Live Laugh Love LR. :,)
LR also took us to the dollar store right after and told us to get some treats and fun things. However, being a college student, even if only for a year, severely adultifies you so the first things I got were paper towels, frozen breakfast sandwiches, hair ties, thumbtacks, and an oven mit. Then Lara convinced me to get this light up halloween picture that makes scary sounds so I got at least one fun thing!
Saturday. I began moving into my new dorm after work! I lived in Claflin my first year, but Iāll be living in Shafer this upcoming year. I was kind of a quint-anti at first because it doesnāt have the lake view that Claflin has, but itās been growing on me this past week. It also helps that my new room is very well sized with a turret for the living room area my roommates and I plan to make!
Tuesday. Iām only half way moved in at this point, but Iāve finally got my posters and most of my wall decor up. All of those upside flowers are actually from several of my bigs that Iāve collected over the past school year!
Wednesday. Our intern manager Jenna took us out for pottery painting and tacos!! We ended up painting our respective pieces for 3 hours and talked about many many many different topics. I made a cup with stars on it, and Iām gonna use it to hold my rings and watches. B) We also saw a cat sitting in a very distinguished manner on a wall in Brookline as we walked to tacos.
Okay thatās it! Thanks for reading. š See you next week.
Love,
Avery the Admissions Intern
