Counting Down to Spring Break: A Much-Needed Reset

Hi all,

As the days get longer and the temperatures start to rise (even if just slightly), there’s one thing on my mind: spring break. After a busy semester filled with classes, assignments, and all the other responsibilities that come with college life, the thought of a well-earned pause is enough to keep me motivated through midterms and endless to-do lists.

Spring break is more than just a break, it’s a reset. It’s a chance to step away from the daily grind and recharge, whether that means traveling somewhere new, spending quality time with friends and family, or just catching up on sleep and Netflix. Whether it be the chance to just grab coffee with a friend or read a good book, it’s the opportunity to be able to just do that is so appealing.

For me, spring break is all about balance. I want to make the most of the time off while also allowing myself to slow down. Maybe that means taking long walks outside, finding a good book to get lost in, or finally having time for activities that don’t fit into the usual routine.

It’s also a perfect time for reflection. With graduation on the horizon, I know these moments of downtime are fleeting. Spring break is a reminder to be present, enjoy the little things, and soak in the experiences that make this stage of life so special.

So, as I power through these next few weeks, I’ll be holding onto the promise of spring break—of fresh air, good company, and a much-needed chance to breathe.

What are you looking forward to most about spring break? I bet it’s not midterm season you’re looking forward to!

Until next week,

Anna Tutek
