Happy Ruhlman Week

Hello everyone!

It’s time for the Ruhlman Conference, one of the two yearly conferences at Wellesley where students get to present their research, academic experiences at and outside of Wellesley, and much more! The whole day is really exciting—classes are canceled, there are numerous presentations by students ranging from a few minutes to an hour, a poster session, and much more. I didn’t present this year because I felt like, since I was abroad last semester, I didn’t have a lot of new information to present after the summer poster session. A lot of my peers and classmates were presenting though, and it was really cool to see them talk about the things that they have been working on for the past year or so.

Other than that, I had a rather chill week around here. My friends and I have been out and about the town and in Boston. We went to a few restaurants, parks, shops, and every fun thing that the city has to offer. I also got to hang out with one of my friends that graduated from Wellesley last year over the weekend. She was hosting a get-together with some friends at her apartment. We made some (very delicious) cookies and some flower crowns. It was very interesting to hear from her and some of the other alums about their post-Wellesley lives.

The weather around here is still…interesting. There was snow last week and the next day it was almost perfect for T-shirts. Yesterday it was pouring rain, and then all of a sudden it stopped, the sun was shining, and there was a really beautiful rainbow. You just can’t go out without an umbrella because you’ll never know when you are going to need it.

Next week it’s time for the Boston Marathon and MarMon on campus, so stay tuned for that!
