Hi all,
My name is Chelsea Park! I am a rising junior studying psychology. This summer I am working as an Admission Summer Intern in the Office of Admission and will be starting remote research at MIT in June. As for my extracurriculars, I am on the NCAA DIII Swim and Dive Team, a member of the Korean Student Association, and a DJ for Wellesley’s radioshow named WZLY.
Pictured is a photo of me from Wellesley Swim and Dive media day and my close friends from the Korean Student Association on Flower Sunday!
From the time when I was out of school in early May to when I came back to Wellesley in late May, I was like a cat. By this I mean that I tried to lay down in the sun as much as I could. As a Southern California native this is very easy to do because the beach is my second home. I enjoy spending as much time there as I can. When I was not laying out on the beach, I was exploring new coffee shops/eateries in my hometown. My new favorite is Stereoscope coffee. As a matcha connoisseur and matcha-rista (self proclaimed), I can say this is the best matcha in Long Beach I have tried by far. The matcha was so dark and rich in flavor with many different substitute milk options (because I cannot handle dairy sadly). I liked their matcha so much that I went back the next day to pick up my own tin of matcha powder because they sell it in stores! Pictured below is an iced Nakama matcha latte with oat milk and one of my favorite beaches, Emerald Bay in Laguna Beach.
Since I have come back to Wellesley’s beautiful and warm campus, it has been filled with laughter and learning. My experience at the Admission Office has been so wonderful and fun. I am constantly surrounded by laughter, a love for Wellesley, and genuine care. I have met so many amazing people who I connected with and learned so much from. As for my personal life, I have been connecting with my close friends who are here on campus or in the Boston area. Last week I visited my close friend Julia in Cape Cod. I took the Cape Flyer, which is a train that runs directly from South Station to Hyannis, for a round trip price of $35! We ate gluten free fish and chips and a massive nacho plate sitting on the beach side. We also explored Provincetown and Sandwich. It was such a wonderful experience to share with my closest friend! I am very excited to see what the remainder of the summer will bring!
Warmest wishes,
