Hello beautiful people,
One of my favourite ways to unwind, catch up with friends, or get my assignments done is by finding the perfect café. In the surrounding town of Wellesley, there are beautiful café gems that are all within a 20 minute walking distance from our Wellesley College campus. But let’s be real, going off campus everyday for this isn’t practical. Here at Wellesley your daily life will be continuously occupied with classes, club meetings and trying to save money that seemingly evaporates each time you step foot off campus.
So, here’s my list of top off-campus cafés near Wellesley, and their on-campus alternatives for when I need the same experience minus a 20 minute walk.
1. Tatte, on campus version – El Table
Tatte is that girl! The yummy pastries and aesthetic avocado toast make it a go for a classic study date. But if you don’t feel like walking or spending that Tatte money, you can head to El Table, our student run café in Founders, all that fulfills café vibes with budget friendly sandwiches and homemade cookies.
2. Playa Bowls – Café Hoop
If you are in need of a fresh fruity and fun açaí bowl or smoothies, Playa has the remedy to instantly boost your mood. An easily accessible on campus option is Café Hoop aka The Hoop.
Café Hoop is a late-night student run haven with smoothies, bagels, and vibes with a bunch of Wellesley sibs punching back at the procrastination of assignments. Café Hoop is basically the beaming moonlight after dark, with music and energy.
3. Dunkin – Emporium
Did you know that Massachusetts has the second most Dunkin locations? It is literally a staple in the New England area. Dunkin is my reliable iced coffee and croissant stuffed breakfast sandwiches spot. On campus, my substitute is the Emporium, located on the second floor of the Lulu Chow Wang Campus Center.

The Emporium offers snacks, pastries, Starbucks coffee, and grab and go bites. This is by far one of my favourite places on campus because I study on the third floor and can go down stairs and grab snacks without leaving Lulu!
Wellesley has so many ways to satisfy a café craving both off and on campus!

See you next week!
