Junior Year Adventures: My First Week Back (Reality Hit Like a Ton of Syllabi) šŸŽ’šŸ“‘

Greetings my lovely readers! Surprise!!!! It’s official, I’m back this year ready to take y’all along with me as I start my junior year of college (I know I still can’t quite believe it either). Last time I spoke to y’all, I was technically still a sophomore so there have been a lot of changes since then! As y’all saw, I had the most amazing (but also walking intensive) summer ever, and I am so excited to be back and giving you guys the behind the scenes as my junior year unfolds. Just in case you missed my summer adventures, my name is Anjola, and I’m majoring in psychology and minoring in education (pre-med track)! You can catch more of my intro in my first post here! So with that out of the way, let’s get into it……..my first week back!

To be honest, my first week was wild. Monday morning started with me striding onto campus with all the confidence in the world—until I realized I had no idea where my first class was…..(I know what y’all are thinking, I’ve been here for 2 years…yes I know). After wandering around, awkwardly hovering near doors, and silently panicking, I finally made it to the right lecture hall. Minor victory: check. And that set the tone for the rest of the week lmaooo.Ā

Classes came with stacks of syllabi that could easily double as small novels (y’all my bag was heavy that first weekā€¦šŸ˜…). Each one outlined readings, assignments, and projects, and one professor casually mentioned an exam which was going to be in like 3 weeks, which if I’m being honest, made my stomach drop a little (But y’all know I’m dramatic anyways). Junior year is real, y’all, and staying organized is going to be a full-time job. At the same time, there’s something exciting about the challenge—it’s like the chaos comes with a side of thrill (I love being busy so junior year is definitely keeping me occupied…..).Ā

The social side of things was just as hectic. Between running into friends, juggling clubs, and settling into my new room, it felt like I was constantly on the move. Somehow, I managed to laugh through the chaos, especially knowing that everyone else seemed just as frazzled. There’s something comforting about shared confusionšŸ˜‚, and it made all the little mishaps (like forgetting where a meeting was or mixing up class times) feel a little less stressful. Honestly guys there is genuinely something so empowering about making it through week one while balancing a thousand little things at once ( and yes I did give myself a pat on the back!)

By Friday, y’all I was tired!, but I still felt very proud of myselfā˜ŗļø. I had survived the first week, figured out a few logistics, and even managed some small victories—like remembering my schedule without consulting Google Maps a dozen times. Junior year is officially here, and while reality is intense, it’s also super exciting. Week one was chaotic, slightly stressful, and completely unforgettable. I’m excited for what’s ahead, and I can’t wait to share it with you all.

Anyways, y’all, thank you so much for joining me on this little first-week-of-junior-year adventure 🫶. I can’t wait to share more behind-the-scenes moments, mishaps, and little victories with you all as the year goes on! This year is gonna be really exciting, I can promise you that :). See you soon loveliesss!

With love,
Your favourite Brit x ā™„ļø
