Greetings my lovely readers! I hope y’all are having a chill week and looking forward to the winter break ☃️… So this week is an emotional week for me y’all…..it is officially my last blog of the semester, so I’m feeling all the feelings right now 🥹 — like, where did the time go??
This whole semester has honestly been a whirlwind y’all. Classes, exams, late nights in the library, spontaneous snack runs, friend chaos, moments of pure delusion, moments of pure joy — all of it somehow blended together into a semester that felt like five minutes and five years at the same time. It’s been a journey for real lmao.
And maybe it’s because it’s currently finals or because my brain is currently held together by caffeine and vibes alone, but I’ve been doing that thing where you suddenly become reflective at random moments (Yes, I am back romanticizing my life y’all but let me live okay, I have more fun when I’m delusional!!) Like wow… I’m officially one semester away from being a senior. SENIOR. Me?! How did that even happen? Just yesterday I was the confused first-year wandering around campus pretending I knew where everything was. Mind you guys I am lowkey kinda good at hiding my confusion, so I used to front and act like I knew where I was going 😅.
There’s something bittersweet about it you know? On one hand I can feel myself being excited because I am so close to the finish line, but on the other hand, I also have this feeling of “oh wow, adulthood is approaching.” But honestly, I’m super grateful for how the first semester of my junior year has played out. This semester pushed me, taught me, stressed me, entertained me, and introduced me to people and moments I’ll cherish and hold on to forever when I look back at my time in college.
And now, with winter break almost here, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon I’ll be home, wrapped in cozy blankets, eating my favorite British foods (and yes beans on toast is one of them, don’t judge me y’all lmaoo 😂), pretending I don’t still have responsibilities. The dream!
So anyways… that’s me signing off for the semester — tired, reflective but also grateful for all the amazing experiences I have had this fall. I had an amazing time getting to debrief and catch up with y’all every week!! I can’t wait to do it all again in the spring 😄. In the meantime, I hope you all have an amazing winter break. Eat some amazing food, get lots of sleep and just enjoy the holidays!!!!
See you soon, loveliesss!
With love,
Your favourite Brit x ♥️
