I’m having so much fun I can’t remember what I did this week?

Is that a valid excuse? … Probably not.

I went back through my pictures and remembered for you all:)

I’ve been really wanting to go to this art district called 798, or 七九八。So last weekend my roommate took me! She loves art so she took me around to her favorite galleries and we strolled in the beautiful remnants of the “APEC Blue,” the wonderful pollution free weather that arose from the government telling people they couldn’t drive to work while APEC convened in Beijing (that is the best, very, very brief explanation I can give lol. Obviously it is a little more complicated than that.)

“Made in China” dinasour lol. I don’t know if you can see it but it says “MADE IN CHINA” on his stomach. I’m glad someone took advantage of that joke.

We ate at a “Western Style” restaurant nearby. And I thought it was so funny when my roommate ordered spaghetti and they gave her Chinese noodles with spaghetti sauce on them. Hey, she liked it so its all good right?

To conclude our wonderful day out, we stopped at a Starbucks on the way home and splurged on green tea lattes:) 好喝极了!(SOOO GOOOD!)

We also stopped at Seven Eleven to pick up dinner groceries. And I couldn’t help myself: I had to take a picture of the aisle of instant noodles (方便面)。So beautifully China:

Speaking of China, on my run yesterday I happened upon a lady out in her bathrobe and slippers. Casual Friday, anyone? 😉 That’s what I’m talking about!

Also, everyone here loves my Angry Bird hat in a non sarcastic way. It is so nice to finally have my fashion sensibilities recognized;)
