It's official: Spring Break has FINALLY arrived.
Right now I'm still at Wellesley. I submitted my midterm paper (you remember that Cuban Missile Crisis one?) and I was feeling giddy with excitement for the sun and sand (tomorrow!) so I ran to Starbucks in the pouring rain and treated myself to a caramel latte. And that's where I am now.
I can't tell you how nice it is to feel relaxed! Granted, I still have a ton of French homework to finish before 9pm tonight but pshhhh I have all day to get 'er done.
This past weekend Rory visited. We had a wonderful time together and did everything! We went out to a few nice meals, watched the Wellesley lacrosse team annihilate their opponent, hung out with friends in one of my friend's final clubs at Harvard, went on a run, watched movies…the list goes on. I loved having him here. Next month, actually the first weekend back from Spring Break, I will be going to visit him at Duke! Apparently his fraternity has semiformal that weekend so I get to wear a fancy shmancy dress 🙂
Speaking of dresses, my co-formal social chair in ZA, Mary-Grace, and I announced the Tri-Society Formal theme this Sunday! We might still change the name, but right now it's Tango del Fuego and involves lots of bright colors and Spanish influences (tapas anyone?). I can't waiiiiiit.
April is my absolute FAVORITE month at Wellesley. There are exciting events every single weekend. It's really hard to choose what to go to because everything conflicts, but I think that's a fabulous problem to have. The lineup for Spring Week bands at Wellesley was announced last night: Major Lazer and Matt & Kim will be performing!!! Wooooo hooo.
Have a great week everyone! Be safe if you're celebrating spring break!
Good for Great by Matt & Kim
