Halloweekend

I’ve been raving about the beauty of our campus for a few blogs now, so forgive me for doing so again, but the campus looked exceptional today. The turning colors of the leaves are perfection, a combination of yellow, orange, red, green, and everything in between. There is an array of leaves scattered on the ground, and the colors of the trees even reflected off the buildings. I have always said my favorite season in New England is the fall, but I have never seen anyplace look quite like the Wellesley College campus looked today. I can only hope this lasts a few more days before all the leaves fall off and winter takes over. I wish I had pictures to show you, but I was set on just taking it all in.

Halloween was last Saturday (as I am sure you already knew). Thankfully, I was smart enough to go to bed extremely early on Friday night, so I got quite a lot of sleep. I had work early on Sunday, so it was good to get a few hours of extra sleep the night before. I wasn’t feeling very well on Saturday morning, but I felt well enough in the afternoon to get ready to go out. It took me hours. I changed my mind last minute on how I wanted to do my makeup, and I barely had time to finish what I ended up doing. Here’s the end result:

I usually try doing my Halloween makeup before hand to make sure I get it right the night of, but I am happy with the result. I got to the bus stop ten minutes before the bus was scheduled to pick us up, and it was packed. The line was absolutely ridiculous, but we all still managed to fit inside. About half the people got off at the Harvard stop, a lot of us got off at the first MIT stop, and I assume some others waited to get off at the last stop. There were lines of the doors of most fraternities; with people dressed up as anything from the commonplace black cat to characters in movies I have never even heard of before. I even saw this guy I knew from my high school there. I guess a lot of people from colleges all around the Greater Boston Area unsurprisingly stop by Harvard and MIT parties. My friends and I made a stop by the student center and bought delicious mozzarella sticks to share. All in all, it was a great night.

Until next week ~
