An Excerpt from my Whirlwind Week:

So Thanksgiving happened this week. That was a pretty odd experience all around. One, it was my first Thanksgiving not with my family. Two, it was my first Thanksgiving where I had to get up in the morning and go to class lol. But it wasn’t sad, just very different. I skyped with my family and all was well:) For lunch we had a huge Thanksgiving feast and all of our teachers and roommates came to try authentic American food. Most everyone liked it a lot;)

First Thanksgiving with chopsticks!

Then Thursday afternoon, after our Thanksgiving feast, I went to a cool mall with some friends to study in a coffee shop for a bit. Afterwards we explored the mall. There is a giant screen outside that plays a video of fish and inside had lots of really sweet modern art.

Also, the mall had a bidet. Sorry, but I fond this to be a significant milestone in my life: my first bidet experience.

We even found Breyer’s ice cream in the grocery store. It was the equivalent of  $28 LOL.

Then on Friday we went to the national museum. They have terra cotta warriors there! But we’ve already seen the real deal in Xi’an. So jaded;)

The modern history part of the museum is the most interesting. Lots of cool patriotic statues and paintings etc.

And yesterday I took a trip to the biggest Adidas store in the world! Muahah!
