This past week I went mini golfing!!!
Like WHAT? I didn’t know there was a mini golf course within three miles of Wellesley! It’s my new favorite place.
So let me back up. As an RA, I have weekly meetings with the residential staff members in my building and our professional staff member, ShaQuan, who is sort of our boss. The meetings are always fun because we do ice breakers and talk about each other’s days. (It’s adorable, we’re like a little family.) But once a month we have an especially fun meeting where we don’t really meet at all:) Instead we go out and do something fun to bond. And that is where the mini golf comes in;)
I’ve been to a lot of mini golf courses but never seen one quite this cute. It’s New England themed! Here are some pictures from our fun bonding night:
It was so fun:) I love my res staff team. Being an RA has been a wonderful experience thus far. I’m a member of a great team and we have a lot of fun together. I especially love House Council (which is something RA’s attend as part of their job). House Council is a group of Beebe residents that meet once a week. We share information about the things going on around campus and with the student body Senate. Its a great way to be both social and informed:) Res staff also hosts teas once a week in the living room with free tea and cookies! It’s another great opportunity to touch base with neighbors and friends.
On another note, happy belated Family & Friends/Homecoming Weekend!
Signs were up all around our beautiful campus all weekend. It was so wonderful to see students with their family members everywhere eating in the dorms and doing fun activities. It made me miss my family:( But I am planning to go home over Fall Break to see them and cannot wait:)
Yay for family! (Both old and new. As much as I miss home I love my new Wellesley Family so much:) )
