Finally Home

I’m finally back at Wellesley. It honestly feels like its been years. I missed her so much!

I feel so old too. Like I’ve done this all a million times. But it never gets old:) My parents helped me unload a car full of stuff into my dorm room for the Albright. Oh, that’s right! I should mention: I am back on campus about three weeks earlier than most students. I’m here to take part in the Albright Institute, a three week long research institute focusing on global affairs. I am so excited to have this opportunity.

So currently I am moved into someone else’s room on East Campus, in Freeman. Once winter session is over I will be assigned my actual dorm for the semester and I will move ALL of my things out and into a new dorm. (Since I was abroad, I didn’t have a room to move all my things for the semester into before I moved into Freeman.) But its not really as bad as it sounds, I have friends with cars. Its really a bonding experience that we all go through together. “I’ll help you load your fridge into the car if I can stick my bedding in there too!” (Really, I actually remember having a lot of fun moving last year after winter session for Track.)

I hope I can give you all a nice overview of what I will be doing over the next three weeks when I have a better idea myself. I know I am going to be very busy between the Albright Institute and Track. I will still be going to competitions on Saturdays and practicing on my own time during the week. (I’ll be drinking lots of coffee, you can be sure of that.) After being abroad, I just feel so rejuvenated and ready to go! Being away has made me appreciate all the things I have here at Wellesley so much. For example, the food. Which is always awesome and never ending. And my team, which has been my support system and my family for over two years now. And the classes. Oh I can’t describe how excited I am for classes to start! I’m such a nerd:)

So I’m sorry there isn’t much to update you on at the moment since I just got here. But I will share with you the snapchat that I sent out to all my family and friends the moment I got here. I think it is the best way to describe where I’m at right now:
