Fun Weekend:)

This past weekend was awesome! Our meet at Fitchburg State went well. I bettered my 400 meter hurdle time by more than half a second:) And I got to watch one of my teammates win the steeplechase! It was pretty cool.

Then on Sunday, my SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee) team hosted a dodgeball tournament. It was held in the sports center’s multi-purpose gym (for those of you who were just on campus, that’s where the “Club Fair” was). We had a lot of fun running around, throwing balls at each other, and making up our own rules. My favorite: “We’re not in middle school anymore, getting hit in the face counts.” Hahaha:)

So here are some pictures of our tournament:

Sunday was also my roommate’s birthday so we had Birthday Breakfast together! Birthday Breakfast= waffles with ice cream (YUM!)

This week was great because yesterday (Wednesday) we had the Ruhlman Conference. A number of my teammates had very interesting presentations. All the dining halls were closed so everyone ate sandwiches (provided for us) on the green behind Alumni Ballroom. It was such a sunny relaxing afternoon that a group of us went outside to do homework on the lawn behind tower. Lot’s of people were out sunbathing on towels lol. Summer is upon us!

Speaking of Summer, there are exactly three weeks until I am headed home. Can you believe it?! (Because I can’t.) In three weeks, I will no longer be a college freshman… Time has FLOWN! I feel so different too. I’m a lot more independent. I used to really rely on my parents for pretty much everything (not ashamed to admit it) but now I’m kind of moving away from that. It’s a strange feeling.

Tonight, I have my first session of RA training and I’M SO EXCITED! Woot woot! Residential life!

Can’t wait to be back here, in August, preparing for the arrival of the Class of 2017! Can’t wait to meet you guys;)

Hope everyone is enjoying their spring! I know I am!
