I am a member of Wellesley’s Varsity Cross Country team and I have now competed in my first two collegiate athletic competitions! (Boy, what a mouthful.) Let me tell you, I cannot wait for this Saturday so I can race again.
As a first year, I am trying to experience all Wellesley has to offer (lectures, friends, food, trips to Boston) as well as put my best foot forward in classes. But no matter how busy my day gets, I know that from 4:15 to 6:15 I have two hours to relax with my team at practice everyday. (Relax my brain, of course. Don’t worry, we’re working up a sweat out there!) I am so lucky to be part of a team of girls I know I can depend on:)
Last Saturday, we had an incredible number of personal records at the meet, myself included! I enjoy my Saturday mornings with the team. We get each other pumped up so we can run our hearts out. And afterwards goodies from a variety of parents and fans are thrust upon us. It is our duty to partake;)

One fan, the father of one of my teammates creates videos of the meets. As a prospective student, I used to watch these videos and imagine the day I’d be in them.
