The Holidays have begun! Last week I traveled home, to upstate New York, and spent Thanksgiving with my family. It’s always interesting to go home and see what my hometown friends are up to. Our lives diverged so quickly post-high school, but we still have no trouble coming together and enjoying reminiscent afternoons walking around town, laughing about all the silly stuff we used to do together. That’s how you know who your life-long friends are; no matter how long its been, you can always pick up right where you left off.

AND (drumroll, please) while home, I received a package from China–specifically from City Weekend, the magazine where I interned over the summer.

I am on the cover of a past issue!! They sent it to me because I didn’t get to see it before I came home this summer!! Isn’t that cool?? There I am, smiling and eating dumplings on my last day in Beijing. My parents were pretty surprised to see that haha!
