I’m Baaaaack!

Hello everyone! I’m back:)

I’m not gonna lie… It’s tough to come back after break. I miss my family and my good friends from high school a lot. I got back Sunday afternoon about the same time one of my roommates returned. We had a good reunion and we both agreed it was a little sad to be back after having so much time with our families. It’s amazing how much I’ve come to appreciate my crazy family. I never thought I’d miss them this much:(

That said, coming back this second semester has been so much easier than my arrival at Wellesley in the fall. I was so overwhelmed by everything and it took me a long time to feel comfortable. I had awful butterflies everyday on my walk to class. I felt like everyday was a track meet. Don’t get me wrong, I love track (as you know) but it’s exhausting  to be so anxious all the time!

Now I feel like I know what I’m doing. I know my wonderful roommates. And I have a very faint idea about where I might like my college career to take me. Wellesley girls have a tendency to want to plan their entire lives out the second they get here;) So I’m just enjoying letting myself ride life out a little bit right now.

Tuesday night I watched New Girl in the Tower TV Room with some friends:) It was so cozy. And tonight I’m going to watch The Office. Usually I’ll have Astronomy Lab Thursday nights but the professor decided that we wouldn’t have lab the first week of classes. I’m very excited about this class. I’ve only had one reading assignment so far (and let me tell you it was long) but it was so interesting that I sat down and read it in one sitting. That’s a Wellesley class for you.

Last night I talked to my parents. They are so supportive. Whenever I feel overwhelmed by everything they calm me down and tell me I can do it. You’d be surprised just how much it helps. (Don’t worry, all you girls who want to get far away from your parents, I felt that way once too.)

Before I get too emotional about my family I’d better switch topics lol. The weather here is CRAZY! Earlier, on my way to Chinese this morning it was down-pouring and so windy that people’s umbrellas were flying away! Now its a gorgeous day out. SO confusing. Here are some pictures from my walk to Admissions just now:

The path from Tower to the library that skirts Severance Green.

The MIT exchange bus waiting at the chapel.

The Admissions building! I’m up on the second floor RIGHT NOW! 🙂
