Midterm Week!

Hello everyone! It’s midterm week. I’ve been goin hard since Monday. But tomorrow at 2:40 I’ll be all done. (That’s when Astronomy ends.) And I am going to sleep FOREVER!

Hehe:) Not really. I have track practice at 7:30am on Saturday. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger? Speaking of track!!!!! omgomgomg. I officially hurdled yesterday! It was wonderful! I was trying to three-step between hurdles (right now I take four steps) and I hooked my foot on the hurdle and went down on my face! But it was okay because I survived and I just love to hurdle so much! I missed it:) (Hopefully you can tell how excited I am about this lol.)

In other less hurdle-y news, I have my first star quiz for astronomy lab scheduled tonight. I don’t think it will be clear enough out to have it though. If that’s the case, we’ll try to do it next Thursday. Astronomy is such a strange science. (I really like it though.) For our last lab the sky was clear so we went out and learned how to set up the telescopes but as soon as we got all set up it clouded over! We just barely got to take a look at Jupiter which was awesome:) I got to see Jupiter’s rings. So awesome. For anyone who isn’t super science oriented I recommend taking Astro 100 and lab. I’ve really enjoyed it so far and I don’t consider myself to be terribly good at science.

Also this weekend is Relay for Life at MIT. I’ve signed up and I’m hoping to go. I’m not sure I’ll spend the night though. I’ve got a lot of work to do! I’m feeling pretty good about school though. I’m a lot more comfortable than last semester. Wellesley feels more like home now.

Oh my gosh its snowing out right now! I don’t want to leave my cosy dorm room:( I haven’t spent a lot of time in my room this week cuz I’ve been running around going to study sessions and class and weight training. A can’t wait to relax inside this weekend. My two favorite places on my floor are the kitchenette (where I make tea, hot coca, and ramen) and the balcony where I study!

This is the kitchenette. The microwave is a college student’s best friend!

And this is the corner of the balcony where I study. It overlooks the great hall in Tower. I kind of feel like Hermione up there (being all studious and such).
