After saying how much I wanted to see it all semester, I finally ventured over to the Olympic Stadium to see the Birds Nest and the Water Cube.
Since I took the day to wander around by myself and enjoy the beautiful blue sky and the freezing wind, I decided to amuse myself by taking a long string of silly selfies. So here is my Olympic Stadium adventure in selfie format:
After checking out the Bird’s Nest, I went into the Water Cube to see the pool. The Water Cube is huge on the inside! One section is actually a huge water/amusement park. Its closed for the winter but I was still able to go see it. It looks like a blast:)
The Water Cube is also where the APEC summit leaders had dinner on the eve of the momentous meeting. Everything was still set up for them:) It was really cool to see. (And apparently everyone else in China also thought so, because the place was packed with Chinese tourists who’d come to see all the decorations.)
So that was my fun adventure for the weekend. This week I have to get down to business and study for my final exam. I head home a week from today! I can’t believe its basically over… I already miss China so much!!!
