Tea Time!

This summer has been an awesome adventure but it is sadly coming to an end soon. In eight days I return home to upstate New York! As I am nearing the end of my time here in Beijing, I have been running around saying my goodbyes to new and old friends alike. One of my greatest friendships in Beijing is with a family who owns a tea shop. The father has been teaching me how to make Chinese tea and has even sent me home with an abundance of tea so I can show off my new skills to my family. Here are some pictures of my silly attempts to make tea.

Even 小朋友 (little friend) wants some tea.

And I’ve been spending lots of time with Rebecca’s awesome friends. Here they are in all their glory:

I will leave you with my odd find of the week… yellow watermelon!

Yellow watermelon. I did not know that this was a thing. China never ceases to amaze me.
