This past week has been full of such good things! Well also some not-so-good things, but mostly good things!
But first some immediate updates: currently listening to “Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked” by Cage the Elephant and I love it. Was also listening to “Arabella” by Arctic Monkeys this morning. Such love I have for these two bands. Also, I discovered Yik Yak recently. :O Anonymous twitter = possibly the best thing ever? Although there are also a lot of negative things on there.
Anyway! Good news from this past week! And also good new from last week that I forgot to tell you about because I was focused on uploading all my ice climbing pictures!! But guess what?!?! I got into Oxford for the full year study abroad program next year!!! Ahhhhh!! Super super super stoked, and endlessly grateful to Wellesley for this opportunity. <3
AND on top of that, this past Wednesday I got an offer from State Street for their summer internship program!! Ahhh! I can’t believe everything’s falling into place! Also- I got an interview with Charles Schwab on Tuesday and had the interview on Thursday. And I think it went well! Also, State Street’s internship would be either in their Boston or NYC office. And if I get an offer from Schwab it’ll be for their SF office.
Gah, so many factors to weigh! You can also probably tell I’m in a very scatter-brained state of mind right now. I’m kind of all over the place in this post, and that kind of accurately depicts how my thoughts feel at the moment.
I want to go home and be in SF for the summer and live at home and commute and save money on housing, but I also want to experience NYC! But also all my Indian Rock friends are in Berkeley, my high school friends are at home, my boss from last summer whom I got really close to and WHO GOT ENGAGED RECENTLY (and with whom I am going wedding dress shopping over spring break!) is in SF! But also Boston! And NYC!
Too many things to think about. I guess I should just sit tight first and see if the Schwab opportunity even progresses. Because if it doesn’t, then it’ll be easy. I’m working for State Street this summer. (Which is super exciting!!!)
Ah. But I shall calm down now. Those were my main exciting updates. Oxford, State Street, and Schwab.
Also, unrelated, but I finally bought some Wellesley swag from the campus bookstore!! Now I can look athletic AND full of school spirit! 😀
(Also, the white jacket is Columbia! I barely own anything of such high quality/brand! Also, I got these both from the clearance rack in the bookstore. Booyah!)
And now, alas, I must get back to studying. Midterm season is fully alive and well! Until next time, everyone!
