Polaroids, Dumplings, and Autumn Leaves

Can’t believe we’re nearing towards the end of October already. I feel like it just started. BUT FALL IS COMING!!

I’m trying to start a new regiment where I leave myself at least Saturday daytime and all day and all day Sunday to do my homework. So it’s worked pretty well so far, minus the fact that I just need more time!!

Thursday, I went shopping with my friend, Erin, at Prudential and Copley Square because they had a huge sale at JCrew. I got a dress and a scarf for such a deal!! Then we had dinner at this great place called Stephanie’s on Newbury. I had a delicious gnocchi dish. Then we visited some friends at Delta Tau Delta at MIT and hung there before catching the last bus back to Wellesley.

On Friday, went to eat 5 Guys burgers and watch Ides of March with some lovely girls of ZA, Meaghan, Anne, and Julia.  Then spontaneously stopped by the Ethos party on campus with Erin and Daniella. Quite a different experience!

Saturday, caught brunch with my Wellesley big sister, Helen, who was visiting from Palo Alto, CA for alumnae training (she’s 2011’s alumnae treasurer). It was sooo good to see her. I’ve missed her so much! Here’s a picture of us standing on the balcony of the Lulu Wang Student Center (taken with my Polaroid camera!):

Then I studied all day before catching a ride with Meaghan, Julia, Camylle, and Katie to our sisterhood dinner in Boston. We ended up at a place called 5 Napkin, which is in the Prudential Center. Burgers there are quite delicious! Then after, I met up with Justin and had a lovely, quiet evening with him.

Sunday–I woke up early to rush to the Apple Store to get the new iPhone because my old one has been malfunctioning a lot. But now I have a working phone (all my friends are pretty excited that they can now get in contact with me). Then in the afternoon, I had my first volunteer session with the MeiMei JieJie program, where I met my little, Lily. She’s 12 years old and is such a sweetheart. We made dumplings together with the rest of the club. It was so much fun! Here’s a picture of the girls making dumplings:

So some other exciting news for the week. I found out I can study abroad in Shanghai at Fudan without any worries about fulfilling a minor in CS because Fudan offers CS courses in English. HUGE relief! Other things this week, I need to start prepping for my Chinese midterm next week and to finish up my Russian history paper for tomorrow. Wish me luck!!!
