It’s finally Thanksgiving break!!!! Right now I’m at my brother’s place at Harvard, ready to enjoy some delicious turkey!! I’m so relieved it’s break now. I feel like I’ve been in a race this entire month.
So a recap on all the fun things that have been happening all week. Last Friday night, I went out with Justin to celebrate my birthday (which isn’t really until the Monday we get back from Thanksgiving break but having a birthday near such a holiday, where everyone always goes home, usually means having week-early celebrations). We went out to this fabulous restaurant called CODA in Back Bay, close to the Prudential. It was a really tiny restaurant but very cute. I had scallops with couscous in a butternut squash puréed sauce. It really was delicious as it sounds, I promise. And then we finished the night off with a pumpkin crème brûlée and cinnamon whipped cream. Needless to say, I had a great dinner. Afterward, Justin and I walked around the area and then took a cab back to his apartment and called it a night!
The next day, I went to celebrate my birthday with Laura, Cassie, and Erin. I was quite sad Daniella couldn’t come cause she has strep throat and Emma had initiation for PhiSig. They’ve both promised to celebrate with me on the day of my real birthday, so it’s alright. But nevertheless, we had a great dinner! We went to Bacco Ristorante in North End for some fabulous seafood. It was my first time in North End, after all this time (scheduling never worked out for Justin and me to go!), but finally I went! So many cute and antiquated places–I loved it. Also, my friends gave me my birthday gift at the restaurant: a FujiFilm Instax camera! I’m SO excited. It’s a type of instant film camera. I wanted to take some pictures there, but unfortunately, the camera didn’t come with any film. So, once I order some film and take some pictures, I’ll show you guys!
Here’s some other pictures from the ZA Nov Babies celebration:
Anyway, after dinner, we went to a ZA mixer with Sigma Chi at MIT. The theme was Geeks and Greeks, meaning lots of MIT frat boys dressed up with huge glasses and bedsheets. Such a jolly good time to be with the girls before we all left for Thanksgiving break! Then, we did a quick stop by to say hi to some friends at Delta Tau Delta, and then headed home!
Overall, it was a great birthday weekend. Sunday was spent doing a lot of work for my CS final project and preparing for my midterm essay for my British history class. Tuesday night, I went over to Justin’s to see him one last time before we left for Thanksgiving break. And here I am now!
Sidenote–right now, we’re playing Assassin in ZA. THIS GAME IS INTENSE. I’m always on the lookout that I’m going to get killed any moment…………but to my target: BEWARE!!!!!!! I think I might just be ever so slightly too into this game…….
And now, off to get some turkey….! Will keep you guys posted
