Goodness goodness what a week it’s been! You know what’s even crazier?? I leave in ONE week!! This makes me so sad. π In one week, I leave Oxford for good. I know I can always technically come back to visit, but what makes me really sad is that I will never be able to come back into the same life I live here now. I will never come back as an undergraduate student, with my ID card that gives me access to all the amazing libraries here and all the amazing colleges. I will no longer live in student housing on Iffley Road. I will no longer have tutorials here. All of this makes me immensely sad. π
But! Before I leave I have definitely been making the most of things! Behold…my typical post of a TON of pictures, interspersed with captions…yet again π Enjoy!
GOSLINGS!!!! On the river near my house!
Teaching my flatmate Michelle how to make rice using a rice cooker… “Best rice I’ve ever HAD!!” ;D
Formal dinner at Hertford College with my friend Julian!
The Radcliffe Camera Library…SO beautiful inside! Technically pictures aren’t allowed but…
And then my trip to London this past weekend!!! First dinner in Chinatown (of course) with Julian. I haven’t had such good Chinese food in SO long!!! Made my day.
Then a rave/concert of Lindstrom’s at Brixton!! With some new friends of mine plus an old friend from Wellesley, Erica. π She graduated a few years ago and now works for Facebook! Recently relocated to their London office…which worked out perfectly for me!
Trying to figure out how to get back in at the end of the night…we were all crashing at Erica’s place! Haha
The next morning…playing with her kitten, Ostrich!
And trying to take a decent selfie before we all parted ways…yay for new friends!
This is Erica by the way!
And then breakfast at Nero (the British version of Starbucks)
Oh! More pictures from dinner in Chinatown beforehand π
And more beautiful pictures of lovely London and Hyde Park π
And some more pictures from Ox!
This is my friend Chris, who goes to Wheaton actually! Can’t believe I only got to know her this late in the school year…but at least we can meet up again in Boston! <3 She does AMAZING artwork…and we went out for ice cream ^_^
Oh! And these gems are from October 2015!! Can you believe it?? It’s been so long, but it’s felt so short to me. My dad was feeling nostalgic so he dug these all up haha. This is from when he helped me move into my Oxford house at the start of the school year π
And then I’ve just been doing some more exploring on my own! Taking advantage of my last few days here! These are pictures from All Souls College and The Queen’s College:
Aaaand that’s it! More next week! π Can’t wait to tell you about my time back in the States!!
Talk soon!
