Before I write my weekly blog posts, I like to go through the photos I took over the past week, to see which ones might be worth sharing/would make a good story. And I came up with two story threads! One–this was the week of Chinese meals, haha. Two–that fall has arrived, in full force and all its glory!
The Week of Chinese Meals started last Tuesday with lunch in Chinatown with this buddy:
This is my friend, Ben. We met in Oxford! Through the business school–he was getting his MBA and I was taking classes there in Economics & Management. Then I worked a little for his startup while I was at Oxford!
Then his girlfriend got a job in Boston so they moved here SO I GOT TO SEE HIM AGAIN!! And we had so much to catch up on–my summer internship on Wall Street and all the progress his startup has made in the time since we last spoke.
Also delicious Chinese food!! We had soup dumplings and SiChuan wontons and stir fried bean sprouts 😀 😀
It was so disorienting to see him in Boston, too! I always associate my Oxford friends (even my housemates) with Oxford…so it’s so weird to talk to them in the US, haha.
And then The Week of Chinese Meals continued, with SiChuan takeout with Wellesley friend!
We brought it back to the Science Center to eat while watching a Chinese tv series. 🙂 We also forgot to grab chopsticks at the restaurant lol so we used those coffee stirring sticks (you can see them on the table!). #collegelife
Then my friend Dominique had her parents visiting for Family and Friends Weekend! We went to a lovely place in Cambridge between Harvard and Central squares (called Dumpling House) and had super authentic Chinese food! I felt like I was back home in the Bay Area. :’) (Also because I know Dom and her older sister from high school–we’re both from the Bay!)
And then here are some pictures of beautiful, stunningly beautiful, Wellesley. 🙂 I had more pictures on my phone but didn’t want to overload!
I must say though–it is just so magical walking to and from class under a sea of bright orange, yellow, red…And the weather is so perfect right now, too, not too hot and not too cold…
Now if only I didn’t have two midterms to take later this week! But it’s okay–I’ve been studying for them like crazy and I’m pretty sure I will be fine. 🙂 Just have to get them over with…
Until next week, folks!
