The One with First Year Formal

First Year formal is an annual event put on by the freshman class council as the first formal dance for first years to attend. There were several other events throughout the year, mainly a fun dance during Orientation, however First Year formal gives everyone a chance to dress up (if they want to), have a good time, and take some great photos. While students were encouraged to dress up if they wished, there was definitely no dress code and it was very much came as you wish. There was a chocolate fountain, popcorn, punch, a photo booth, fairy lights, and even Yerba Mates. The dance was Under the Sea prom themed as a quirky way to make up the experience of Prom to anyone who may not have had one or may not have had a great experience. So without further ado:

My first, first year formal: A recollection of the lovely evening through a photo series:

1. Getting Ready Together with Friends

2. My lovely friends Hesper and Macy are members of the Class of 2023 class council, meaning they helped plan this event!

3. Power Pic in Celebration of International Women’s Day being the next day

4. Silly pictures to offset the very serious ones we just took

5. Ending the Night in Our Dorm Room with Friends and a “S’mores Night”
disclaimer: due to lack of marshmallows and fire we used: fluff, nutella, and graham crackers- still very good!
