I had one of the best Halloweens I've had in a really long time this year. In high school, it was pretty fun to dress up at school and take funny pictures, maybe do some trick or treating. This year was fun because I hung out with awesome people and just had a fun, low key night.
First thing's first: my costume. My friend Madeleine suggested that we be our volleyball coach and her twin circa the 80's when they won the Division 1 National Championships. We recently got to see the video of them playing and we loved it/thought it was hilarious. They had these crazy water bottles that looked like lab equipment so we tried to make some of those. 80's volleyball uniforms were pretty cool, although the length of their spandex was definitely not comfortable.
Basically here's what went down: We surprised our coach by trick or treating at her house. She thought our costumes were hilarious. After hanging out there for a while, our team split – half going off campus to parties. I watched Poltergeist (cannot go wrong with Spielberg) with some friends then we all talked afterward. Even though it was low key, it was one of those times when you're with people you love being around so it can't get much better.
VB update: Brought our A game to Springfield!!! We beat them again and chances are we'll have to do it a third time to get to the NEWMAC tournament finals. I may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure we play WPI on Tuesday in the first round.
In other news: I still haven't seen Where the Wild Things Are. SAD.
AND the cast of New Moon is apparently coming to the Natick mall this November…and I could not be less excited. This means I have to listen to people talk about Twilight. Sigh. Oh well.
