It’s great to be back!

Convocation Day

Wearing red for convocation day to remind us of how soon graduation is!

We brought MEZCLA de Wellesley College to México!

I’m Jacqueline Angelique Moreno (the one on the right) and my major is Comparative Literature with a concentration in Spanish language literature. This is my last year at Wellesley and I will be doing a project on Asian literary influences in Latin America. Luckily I have researched immigration histories in Mexico, Ecuador, and Spain using Global Engagement and Multicultural Research grants from the college. These study abroad experiences allowed me to live with host families and meet international friends that I hope to visit again soon! In every country I always search for a nice little cinema (my other love besides literature) and have a lot of fun attending Wellesley’s Film Society events. At Wellesley I never got homesick because I’ve always had the support of our Latina org on campus, MEZCLA. But after being abroad for so long, I really miss Wellesley’s stimulating courses and am so excited to return this fall semester 2011!
