It's Sunday and after a day of traveling, I am BACK IN ACTION at Wellesley!
It's only 4pm but I've already done so much today! I worked on my scrapbook that I'm making for my society, walked to CVS in The Ville with my friend Mary-Grace, watched my friend Ashley swim in her Seven Sisters swim meet here @ Wellesley (picture below), went on a long run with my friend Mere, and now I'm sitting in my room on facebook and checking my course syllabi! Yipeee class starts tomorrow….
Swimming is a fantastic spectator sport. The races are so fast that you miss the entire thing if you so much as blink, and the indoor pool area is so warm!! I could hang out in there forever. It's freezing outside, by the way, in case you haven't been paying attention to the fact that blizzards have been hitting the Northeast for the past few weeks/months. I cannot believe the insane amount of snow that has been dumped here since I last saw the campus! Look at Severance green. When I first saw it I was in shock because I was just outside in shorts and a t-shirt running at home on Friday. Shorts and a t-shirt? Not going to be happening for awhile here.
Anywayyy, I'm done unpacking but I kinda feel like decorating my room a little bit more so I might do that for a bit then read (and try to finish!) my book that I have been working on. It's called Say You're One of Them by Uwem Akpan, and it was a 2009 Oprah's Book Club pick so of course it's really depressing (but very well-written, nonetheless). Hope all is well! I will be writing more regularly now that I'm back at school.
Stay warm,
Kara
