Updates, updates, updates!

1. In one week I will be reading (for fun!) while I relax on the hot, white sand beaches of Clearwater, Florida. Hallelujah. While it's supposed to be 40º and rainy in MA, it will be 76º and sunny in Florida. YES

2. My World Politics professor gave us our midterm essay prompt today. We have to choose between 2 questions and I chose the one about Rational Deterrence Theory and the Cuban Missile Crisis. I think this paper should be really interesting, and I'm actually excited to write it. #nerd

3. Marathon training is going well. Yesterday I ran 15.5 miles alone! It was kinda scary, actually, because at one part I have to cross all these highway entrances and exits for I-95 and Mass Pike on the way to Newton. I felt like Frogger.

4. Wellesley was just named in the top 100 Best Value Private Colleges by the Princeton Review. Here is the cool interactive website on USA today that lets you read more.

5. My mom was here last weekend, and we ate a few nice meals out in Wellesley and spent some quality time together. Since my birthday was on Feb. 25th, we kind of celebrated together. I miss her! She has never been out to Wellesley alone to see me. This weekend Rory (my boyfriend) will be here since he is on his Spring Break right now!

6. I have to hold on to my last tendrils of focus before Spring break in order to finish my papers! I am going to the library now before soccer weight training (Gotta get that beach bod…with only 1 week left before I whip out my bikini, I need to get my abs in tip-top shape), my Tri-Society Formal Social Chairs meeting, and my post-dinner library date with Tessa.

This is one of my favorite songs of the moment (I am currently obsessed w/Ellie Goulding):

What are you doing for spring break? Going anywhere fun? Relaxing at home?

xoxo
