Some cool events happened since the last time I wrote.
First, we had an awesome comedian come to Wellesley. Sasheer Zamata! She came as part of Black History Month. I had a bit of a hand in her coming. As Ethos, comedy appreciation chair, it is my job to make Ethos members laugh. One of my missions, once I got the role, was to bring a comedian to Wellesley.
It happened last week and I had a lot of fun. There were a lot of people waiting for her before the show started. We waited for a while but once we got in, it was so much fun. Everyone was laughing and she brought a lot of light to campus.
I even got to meet her!!! She was so cool and very approachable. I had a great time.
There was also a Coffeehouse event featuring different performers. I met Alysia Harris, an amazing poet. Got her signature and a really cool poster.
I have met some really cool people so far at Wellesley, looking forward to all the others I’ll meet.
