My adventures in Geneva continue! This past week marked about the halfway point of my time here. I can feel the work ramping up just as the flowers are blooming. It’s getting harder to stay inside and study. So this past weekend, I took a day trip with some friends to Lyon, a city close to Geneva in France.
Lyon is a beautiful city with a lot of history. We spent a lot of time walking around, getting to know the city. We visited the Cathedral of Lyon and saw a great view of the city. We saw the Roman ruins, walked along the lake and ate crêpes. I practiced my French and took tons of pictures. I’ve attached a few in this post.
As I come closer to the end of my time here. I am starting to think of the future. I am going to back to Wellesley next semester after a year abroad. I have been spending these past couple of weeks, deciding my schedule for next semester, trying to figure out where I will live next semester, and contacting my advisors about certain classes. It’s been a bit hectic but the wonderful thing is that whenever things get too much, I can take a trip. This week, I also reflected a lot on my past year abroad and how it has affected me. I know my time here is not over yet, but it’s never too early to start reflecting. Lots of changes have happened at Wellesley since I left. I cannot wait to see them all when I come back.
Until next time,
Laïssa
