Res Life

I live on the second Pomeroy, with my roommate. Pomeroy is the best dorm on campus (in my opinion). It is in the quad along with Shafer, Bebe, and Cazenove which is connected to Pom.

Pomeroy has a dining hall that serves Kosher/Vegetarian food. It also has great breakfast. It’s awesome having a dining hall in your dorm because you don’t have to walk far to get a meal. This is especially awesome when there are snowstorms. During snowstorms, I usually go eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in my pajamas.

Pomeroy also has a great community. Our resident director (RD), kind of like a house mistress, is Paula. Paula is very friendly, she always greets you, smiles and asks about your day. She is very approachable and creates a great environment in our dorm. The other resident life staff consisting of the House President and the RAs, amongst others, also create a fun atmosphere in Pom. They try to foster a family atmosphere in the dorm.

I have loved living in Pom my first year, and really hope that I get to remain in this dorm for my next year here at Wellesley. It is a really special place.

Someone drew this picture of the Moonlight movie poster on a chalkboard in the basement of the dorm. Moonlight was one of my favorite movies of the year so I really appreciate the pommie who drew this.

Pom is just one of the many dorms on campus, each with their own attitude and quirks.

For you incoming first-years, I am excited for you to come to campus and love your dorm as much as I do mine.
