The President’s House

I went to the president’s house on Sunday! It was really cool. Her house is on the edge of campus and quite a walk from my dorm. However, it was still worth it. We spoke to her about what we love about Wellesley and what we hope can change/improve. What I really liked about her was that she was very willing to listen and take our concerns to heart. I can see positive changes happening. Her house was also all decked out for Halloween and she had tons of candy. I took a bunch and put it in my purse. President Johnson invited members of the Harambee House (the space for students of African descent) to her house for a meet and greet. As a member myself, I had the opportunity to go myself.

As Halloween was this week, many people on campus were dressed up and having fun. Some students went trick or treating at the President’s house. I came down with a cold so I didn’t really do anything to celebrate. However, one of my professors went all out and came to class in a costume.

She is Brienne of Tarth from “Game of Thrones”

She had a blonde wig on when she first came into the class but eventually took it off. I had a great time in class that day.

That’s it for this week, until next time!

Wish me luck.
