I’m back after about three weeks. I have been spending the last few weeks moving out of Wellesley, moving back home and just settling myself in. All of this is still quite unbelievable, but I am making it day by day. I wanted to give you an update on what’s been going on with me.
I’ve been home in New Jersey with my family since school closed. I’ve been trying to find things to do while indoors; mainly readings, watching movies and sleeping. I’ve also decided to gain some new language skills.
We started class this week and I admit, it’s going to take me a while to get used to talking to my professor via a computer screen. However, my professors have been all really kind and flexible with all the changes happening. They’ve made a very stressful situation, a little less difficult. I am very glad I was able to have my last undergrad courses with them. Even my music lessons are continuing online. I decided to take harp lessons this semester. In fact, instructor and I plan on continuing lessons once I am able to rent a harp.
And Congratulations to the new red class of 2024! I am so happy for you. I remember this time during my senior year. You’re almost at the finish line. However, I must inform you. I am sorry, but you will never match the greatest of the Red Hot Class of 2020! But I hope you can try to match us.
Thinking about an incoming class really made it clear that I am graduating. Although, it certainly not under the conditions I wanted, I’ll be a real adult soon.
I don’t have much advice for you but to keep doing what you have been doing. You’ve made it this far in life being yourself so keep doing that. It’s hard not having the opportunity to visit for Spring Open Campus but know that Wellesley will be happy to welcome you in the fall. Congrats again!
