A Much Needed Break

***~~~ Fall Break ~~~ ***
I spent the long weekend on campus and in Boston. The past few days has made me realize how much I love this season (especially in New England) and how attached I am to my roommate. She was gone the for three days and it felt like FOREVER.

I had a great lunch with my friend who goes to Tufts this weekend in Harvard Square. Dining Hall food at Wells isn’t too bad really, but this splurge on fancy food at Toscana was out of this world.

I was in the Harvard area because I take ASL (American Sign Language) lessons at Harvard every Sunday. This past lesson we learned how to ask Yes/No questions (which I suck at because apparently I look angry instead of inquisitive when I raise my eyebrows) as well as how to sign countries. I’m taking this class because I enjoy learning new languages, and I want to learn more about deaf culture. The teacher is a riot – one of the most intelligent and hilarious people I know – so I love going to class even if it is on a Sunday. No, I don’t get credit for the class and No, there isn’t a cross-registering program between Harvard and Wellesley. Ask me questions about this if you’re interested. I’d love to see more Wellesley students involved with the program!!

Oh and the photo is of my friend’s window at Harvard. People actually do this, apparently.. it’s not just a A Beautiful Mind / Social Network thing (was there even a scene like this in this movie?). I just realized A Beautiful Mind took place at Princeton LOL i don’t know anything.

OH and when my roommate got back we went to the MFA. It was a great way to end a very relaxing fall break. Now I have to get back to the mountains of work I decided not to do this weekend!
