Wellesley people are the best kind of people

The Slater Culture Show is happening this Friday, October 24th at 7pm. If you’re in the area, PLEASE COME!!! It’ll be an amazing event filled with performances by students from all over the world, as well as delicious international food. As the cultural chair of the Slater International Student Organization, it has been my job to oversee the preparation process of this annual event. The show has been a tradition at Wellesley for several years now, and it’s a great day because so many people from all over campus come together to celebrate the diversity of Wellesley College students. I’ll be writing more about it next week’s blog post, but for the past few weeks this event has been the main thing in my life and it’s about to be over! I don’t know whether to be excited, nervous, or sad that all the work being put in to this event will be done in a few days. Slater is a huge part of my Wellesley life – I met so many of my friends during International Orientation, and the events the organization hosts are always a good time. If you have any questions about being an international student at Wellesley, ASK ME!!!

Slater, along with Harvard and MIT International Student Organizations, hosted iCruise – a boat party for international students in the greater Boston area. I went to this party on Saturday with my friends from Wells and I had a great time.

Me and my friend Constance, who I met on day 1 of Wellesley (during International Orientation) last year. She’s been and will continue to be a crucial part of my Wellesley experience as well as my life in general. Love her.

The next morning, I had brunch with Phi Sig, the Society I am a part of. This is a pic of me and my new fam – my big and Gbig – who treat me so well ^_^
